Ms. Fitzgerald is an assistant professor of healthcare policy and strategy at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health where she teaches strategy and the “The Business of Healthcare” which is being filmed as a pilot television show this fall at the New Balance Track and Field Hall of Fame. Meg most recently served as EVP of Strategy, M&A and Health Policy at Cardinal Health at Fortune 25 company and was the youngest member of the executive committee. Prior to this role she was the President of Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions, a specialty healthcare business that offers services for providers, payers, and pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Under Meg’s leadership Specialty Solutions grew from $700mm to over $8B in less than 5 years and remains one of Cardinal Healths fastest growing businesses. She is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Ageing and is currently on the board of directors for Concert Pharma (CNCE) SeniorLink, an innovative proven model of in-home care for elders as well as GELESIS which will be launching a novel product for obesity. She volunteers and advises Trek Medics and was part of the emergency response team this year in the Dominican Republic bringing emergency assistance to remote locations via motorcycles. FitzGerald is an expert speaker on topics such as specialty drugs; healthcare policy and reform; and women in executive leadership where she authored a ground breaking study on health of executive women which was published in the Harvard Business Review in January 2016.
